  • Ribbon Cutting Declaring “READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK” (and Dr. Seuss’s birthday)
  • Shelbyville, IN Mayor Tom DeBaun will read a proclamation announcing the kickoff of Read Across America Week
  • A ribbon cutting will follow signifying that the city is open for opportunities to read across America along with a birthday cake (prepared by Sugar Coated Cakery located at 52 E Washington St.)  for Dr. Seuss
  • The Cat in the Hat will be available for special recognition from the Mayor
