They will stay in Tokyo for a few days in the beginning, and then leave for Shizuoka on Wednesday the 19th. They will go to Shizuoka by Shinkansen. It’s a very fast train. So it will be a good experience for the students.

On Thursday the 20th, they will get to experience a trip on sakura shrimp ship. After that, they will have lunch in Kambara junior high school. Then, they will move to Kambara west elementary school, and take a class with all of elementary students. Later that day they will visit RYOBI, a Japanese company that has a factory in Shelbyville. What a busy and fun day! Visiting a school and doing something together are great experiences for both cities’ students.

On Friday the 21th, they will visit the Mayor of Shizuoka city. That afternoon, they will make kumihimo with the students from Tsuji elementary school. A welcome party will be held in Shizuoka city that night.

On Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd, they will spend time with their host family. They will do what they want to do. They will have very fun days.

On Monday the 24th, they will come back to Shelbyville. For about one week, the students will experience a lot of different things. This visit will be a great memory for all of the students.
