Rob Springer, the Executive Director for the Shelbyville Redevelopment Commission has accepted an offer to work with the MDA as the Executive Director for the Central Region of Indiana.  He and his family are excited for this opportunity to join the MDA in the ongoing fight for a cure for their 11 year old son Samuel as well as many other children and families in Indiana and the world that are desperate for a cure.

Rob made the following statement regarding his current position and plan to continue working with with the City as the interim Redevelopment Commission Director during his transition into this new role, “I have been humbled by the opportunity to work for Mayor DeBaun and my home, the City of Shelbyville, as well as the amazing department heads and people that make this city and county great.  I have learned a tremendous amount and there are just too many fantastic things in the works that I would like to see through to completion.  Therefore, I have asked Mayor DeBaun and the Redevelopment Commission to consider allowing me to stay on indefinitely as the Redevelopment Commission Director on a part-time basis to continue coordinating and managing the following:”
